More about my practice
Arts & Crafts Background
Alongside being a graphic designer, I have a multi-disciplinary arts practice involving painting, textiles, printing, ceramics and drawing. Where possible, I try to involve these skills in my designs to retain a tactile human element – which is important when working on people focused projects. More of my artwork can be seen here.
South Asian Arts Collective
I am a co-founder of SAAC (South Asian Arts Collective) which aims to bring the diverse South Asian community together to have conversations about our heritage and the British Asian experience. We are currently putting a body of work together that will be exhibited at Kings Heath Art Rooms in June 2021. We are hoping to carry on this momentum and work on more collective projects.
Don’t Settle X Birmingham Museums Trust
Along with other artists I have secured a Youth Engagement Structure consultancy role as a part of a Don’t Settle and Birmingham Museum Trust initiative. We will be designing ways for Birmingham museum to better represent the heritage of Birmingham’s communities.
